Eva_Aguirre_Cooper_PortraitEva Aguirre Cooper has been the Community Affairs Director at WOOD TV8/WOTV 4/WXSP since 1998, where her responsibilities include community outreach efforts, on-air reporting for 24 Hour News 8 and special station projects including the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program –Live healthy and our Safe Water campaign.

Her community involvement includes participation on various boards and committees such as the Experience Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Community Foundation, Grand Rapids Sister City – Mexico Committee and ongoing participation in the Hispanic Community.

Prior to joining WOOD TV8, Eva worked at Trillion Post Production where she managed projects in Mexico City. From 1984 to 1994, Eva worked at three different Public Broadcasting Stations including WSIU in Illinois, SCETV in South Carolina and WGVU in Grand Rapids. Eva’s parents are both from Mexico and she is fluent in Spanish.
