Tobacco store burglar eludes police

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Kent County authorities continue to search for the person who they say burglarized a business early Wednesday morning.

The suspect broke the glass door at the Admiral Tobacco store in the 3600 block of Plainfield Avenue in Plainfield Township to gain access inside, police told 24 Hour News 8.

It is unknown what the thief stole before police arrived around 2:30 a.m.

A police K-9 unit was unsuccessful tracking down the suspect near the scene.
