DOUGLAS, Mich. (WOOD) — An elementary school student allegedly used a pencil to stab his principal in the nose Wednesday.

Just before 1 p.m., the Douglas Elementary third-grade student tried to leave class and Principal Michaelle Gust tried to stop him, according to Saugatuck-Douglas police.

Police say the boy then stabbed her with a pencil and bit her arm. Her injuries were minor.

It’s unknown what, if any, action will be taken against the student, who does have a history of behavioral problems.
