I-196 reopened after semis jackknife

GANGES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A section of southbound I-196 was shut down for a time Wednesday evening in Allegan County between Saugatuck and South Haven after three semi-trucks jackknifed.

The southbound lanes were shut down at Blue Star Highway in Ganges Township, but reopened around 10:20 p.m., according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Traffic was being re-routed off the highway and back on at 109th Avenue.

There was no word on whether anyone was injured.
