City of Sturgis declares snow removal emergency

Sturgis, Mich. (WOOD) Residents in the city of Sturgis are banned from parking on city streets during a snow emergency.

City leader declared a citywide snow removal emergency that went into effect at 10 a.m. Saturday.

City ordinance restricts anyone from parking on all city streets. Anyone who parks on the streets will be cited and will have their vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.

The parking restrictions remain in effect until a street has been cleared of snow *and* two successive street intersections.
