Paintballer who hit people, homes locked up

Grand Rapids, Mich. (WOOD) — Police arrested an 18-year-old man after several people and homes were hit with paintballs.

It all happened between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday on the northwest side of Grand Rapids.

Police say the suspect was in a vehicle when he fired the paintball shots.  A 28 year old man was walking in the 900 block of Garfield NW when he was hit in the head. A 37 year old woman was struck near Leonard Street and Alpine Avenue. Another man was hit while outside a bowling alley near Stocking Avenue and 2nd Street.

Police say there were other property damage incidents related to this case.

The 18 year old is facing a number of charges connected to these incidents.

Police say a witness helped them track the suspect down.
