The body of an Albion woman who was reported missing last week has been found, and her boyfriend has been arrested on an unrelated charge, according to police.
Donna Jean Frost, 42, was last seen more than a week ago in Albion. On Tuesday, police asked for the public’s assistance to help locate her and her boyfriend, 47-year-old Jackie Dale McConnell, who also had not been seen.
On Sunday, police located McConnell in North Carolina, and served him with a warrant for violating the registry requirements of his status as a sex offender, Albion Department of Public Safety Chief Scott Kipp said.
The information that investigators got from interviewing McConnell led police in Michigan to Frost’s body, which was found in a field in the 28000 block of F Drive in Calhoun County, Kipp said.
McConnell is being held in a North Carolina jail and is awaiting extradition to Michigan.
Frost’s cause of death will not be determined until an autopsy is conducted.
