Interview: Get help from Call 2-1-1

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Heart of West Michigan’s 2-1-1 line on Tuesday began screening calls for senior citizens for those with disabilities and need assistance with snow removal at their homes in Kent County.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) hopes to help those in need but only if the temperatures aren’t too cold. Anyone in Kent County needing this help can call 2-1-1.

If you are not in Kent County, you will be referred to the 2-1-1 in your area.

Susan Stuk, executive director of Call 2-1-1 in Muskegon County, has some tips if you need assistance this winter.
