Kelly Gunther is the comeback kid

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Michigan will be well represented when the biggest athletic competition of all commences in Sochi, Russia, and we have the scoop on some of the Olympic athletes who call the mitten state home.

One of them is Kelly Gunther, a Chippewa Valley High School graduate. She is headed to Sochi to compete in long track speed skating. This isn’t Kelly’s first attempt at Olympic gold. She shares her story of missing out on the Vancouver Games, and how a devastating injury almost sidelined her skating career for good.
