HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) – The all clear has been given at West Ottawa High School in Holland after it was put under a precautionary alert.
Police told 24 Hour News 8 a report came in around 7:40 a.m. Thursday that there was a potential explosive device in the south building.
All students were temporarily moved to school’s the north building.
There were no reports of injuries.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office worked with bomb squad dogs to go through the building before the alert was cleared.

West Ottawa High School is undergoing a precautionary alert during 1st and 2nd hour Thursday, January 30. You may receive calls or texts from your students during this exercise. A threat to a building was received via text/phone early this morning. We have protocols and procedures in place to deal with this. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is in charge of the investigation. We will give you more information as soon as it becomes available.
