BLOOMINGDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A young Van Buren County woman who was reported missing last week has returned home safely.

Gabrielle Himmelain, 19, returned to her family’s home north of Gobles Sunday, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office. She was unharmed.

She told deputies that she had been at another house on her own free will and that there was no foul play involved.

Around 7:15 p.m. Jan. 27, Himmelain told her family she was going out for the evening and left her family’s home in the 12000 block of 35th Street in Bloomingdale Township. When she didn’t return home, family called friends looking for her and then called the sheriff’s department on Tuesday.

Authorities said they will not be releasing details at this time.
