GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Jury selection began Monday morning in the case of a Wyoming woman accused of attacking her parents with a hatchet and another weapon while they slept.

Amber Wilson is charged with assault with intent to murder and assault with a dangerous weapon in the March 2013 incident at her parent’s home in Wyoming.

Court documents stated that her parents awoke and saw Wilson, who was holding a hatchet, standing over them, yelling, “I’m gonna kill you! You’re going to die!”

Prior to her trial, Wilson underwent several evaluations to determine whether or not she was competent to stand trial.

Wilson’s trial is expected to last three to four days in Kent County Circuit Court.
