HAMLIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A mother and her baby girl were killed in a crash that also injured the child’s 5-year-old sibling, according to the Mason County Press.

The crash happened Wednesday night on Jebavy Drive near Fisher Road in Hamlin Township, northeast of Ludington, the Mason County Central Dispatch told 24 Hour News 8.

A northbound car crossed into the path of a pickup truck, Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole told the Press.

The mother and her children were in the car. The mother and infant were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Press.

The 5-year-old was taken to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids in critical condition via Aero Med, the Press reports.

The baby, who the Press said was not yet 1, was in a car seat.

Everyone involved was from Mason County. Cole told the Press that the victims’ names are expected to be released Thursday morning.
