Man left in snow after assault in GR

A man was left lying in the snow unconscious after being assaulted by an acquaintance in Grand Rapids Saturday night.

Grand Rapids, Mich. (WOOD) – A man was left lying in the snow unconscious after being assaulted by an acquaintance in Grand Rapids Saturday night.

The assault happened at around 11 p.m. near Martha Street and Underhill Avenue SW.

Two men, both in their 20’s, who police said are acquaintances, got into an argument or altercation of some kind. After the altercation, a man was left in the snow unconscious with no coat on.

The victim was discovered by another acquaintance after 45 minutes. He’s at the hospital in serious condition.

The detective unit is investigating the case.
