Man robs gas station with knife, flees scene

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) – Police are looking for a man who robbed a gas station in Kalamazoo and fled the scene Sunday morning.

The incident happened at around 9 a.m. at the Shell Gas Station, located on West Main Street.

According to a news release, the employees told police that the suspect was armed with a knife and entered the store demanding money.

The clerk complied and the suspect fled the store on foot.

Deputies tracked the man to the parking lot next to the gas station where it appeared the suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.

The suspect is described as a 5’9″ to 5’11” man who was wearing a dark jacket, red shirt, and a gray stocking cap at the time.
