One killed in Barry County crash

HOPE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD)– One person is dead following a two vehicle crash in Barry County.

The crash happened around 11:37 a.m. Saturday on Cloverdale Road and Cedar Creek Road in Hope Township.

According to the Barry County Sheriff’s Deparment, a Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Cedar Creek Road when a Buick Lacrosse heading westbound on Cloverdale Road failed to yield and crossed in front of the truck.

The car was hit in the driver’s door and the driver died in the accident.

A family of four traveling in the pick-up truck were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities on Sunday identified the driver as 42-year-old Marci Ann Miller of Williamston, MI.

Authorities say seatbelts were used and speed does not appear to be a factor at this time.
