KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) – The Western Michigan University Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help identifying the man accused of assaulting at least one female student on campus.

While only one report has been filed with police, officers were told by the alleged victim that she thought there were other victims with similar experiences.

The Department learned Feb. 7 that a female student was grabbed, forcibly kissed and inappropriately touched on Feb. 3 on the second floor of Waldo Library, WMU officials told 24 Hour News 8.

The suspect extended one of his hands as if to shake hands with the victim, and when she offered her hand in return he pulled her toward him and assaulted her, police said.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, having a stocky build, a dark complexion and a mustache.

If you have more information about this case then you are asked to call the WMU Department of Public Safety at 269.387.5555.
