4 people hurt in 2-vehicle crash

GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Four people suffered non-life-threatening injuries after two vehicles collided in Ottawa County.

The wreck occurred around 6:30 p.m. Monday on Comstock Street near 160th Avenue in Grand Haven Township.

Pate Denney, 21, from Grand Rapids was driving east when he lost control of his vehicle, which went into the westbound lane and struck another vehicle, police said.

Courtney Barton, 24, from Grand Rapids was Denney’s front-seat passenger and got pinned in the vehicle.

Heidi Dezeeuw, 42, from Hudsonville was driving the second vehicle.

Her front-seat passenger was Steven VanLangevelde, 45, from Holland.

Everyone wore their seat belts.

Alcohol was not a factor, police said.
