Give Mac a new home

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) There’s one sweetheart who could become a part of your family in time for Valentine’s Day. Macklin or “Mac” lives at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary in Lake Odessa, but he would love to have a new place to call home.

When Mac meets someone he really likes, he gives them a big high five! But he admits he isn’t perfect. He sheds a little and loves to give sloppy kisses, and sometimes gets into things he shouldn’t. But he would make the most loyal, loving companion. He loves to be the center of attention and would adore being an “only child.”

If you want to meet Mac or any of the adoptable dogs you can see online, give Mackenzie’s a call. They make the adoption process easy. They’ll set up a time for you to come visit the dogs at their place, then they’ll set up a visit at your home with the dog of your choice to ensure a good match.

The cost of adopting is $150 and they help dogs like Macklin find homes within an area 150 miles of Lake Odessa.

There’s another way you can help dogs like Mac, and get a little shopping done at the same time. Community Days are coming up at Younkers and other Bon-Ton family stores. When you buy a $5 booklet filled with savings, the proceeds will benefit Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary.

Plus, each of those booklets has a $10 coupon in it that can be used on an item priced at $10 or more. These deals are good on February 28 and March 1, 2014.
