MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — Four people, including children, were unable to leave a Muskegon house after its front porch collapsed Monday, the Muskegon Chronicle is reporting.
A porch collapsed on a home in the 600 block of Orchard Avenue, west of S. Getty Street.
A woman and three children were caught inside without a way to get out, according to the Muskegon Chronicle.
The Chronicle says firefighters were able to help the four to safety. No one was hurt.
The collapse is being blamed on heavy snow.
There have been several other roof collapses in West Michigan in recent weeks blamed on snow. Among those was the roof of a building at the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds near Grand Haven.
