GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A former Lowell resident has been convicted of sexually abusing a juvenile for years.

Joshua Gooch was convicted Tuesday of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to the Lowell Police Department.

Between 1999 and 2007, Lowell PD said, Gooch abused a juvenile while living in Lowell. The victim was 10 years old when the abuse started.

Lowell PD worked with authorities from Lake County, Ind. — where Gooch moved — to arrested him.

Gooch could spend up to 15 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for March 17.
