GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Two people were trapped after the roof of their home collapsed early Wednesday morning due to heavy snow.

Rescue personnel were dispatched at 3:23 a.m. to the residence at 2367 Basswood Street, near 28th Avenue and Bauer Road, in Georgetown Township in Ottawa County.

Margaret Scott, 81, and her 45-year-old daughter Karla Scott were rescued and transported to a hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
