Vehicle hits pedestrian in Grand Rapids, flees

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The search continues for the driver who police said hit a pedestrian with his vehicle and then fled the scene.

The incident occurred around 2:50 a.m. Thursday on 28th Street, just west of Breton Road in Grand Rapids, as the male victim was crossing the street, police said.

The man was transported to a hospital and listed in critical condition.

Witnesses told police the suspect was driving east in a blue Jeep Liberty. The only description police have released about him is that he is a white male in his 20s with no facial hair or glasses.
