Police: FSU student stabbed with pocket knife

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Ferris State University student has been arrested in connection to the stabbing of another student early Sunday.

The stabbing happened between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. at the off-campus Oakwood Apartment complex on 14 Mile Road, authorities say.

The stabbing victim was treated and released from the hospital Sunday, according to a release on Ferris State University’s website.

A suspect was arrested Sunday evening in connection to the stabbing, according to the FSU and Big Rapids departments of public safety.

Officials believe the suspect used a pocket knife with a two- or three-inch blade in the stabbing.

Both the suspect and victim are FSU students, investigators say.
