Reports of the fire in the 7300 block of Seven Mile Road first came in around 9:40 a.m. Multiple fire departments responded to the scene.

Firefighters said they did not have any trouble getting water to the fire. But wind caused the fire to spread faster, making it more difficult to fight, firefighters said.

The potato farm’s office and part of a storage facility burned to the ground and are a total loss.

There were people working on the farm at the time of the fire, but no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
