GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Sick of driving around — or through — bad potholes in Grand Rapids?
As plows continue to clear city streets and more potholes appear, the city is dispatching road crews to fix the largest and most problematic holes.
Because it is still too cold and the roads are too wet to fill the potholes with hot asphalt, crews will fill them with what they call a cold patch – a mixture of gravel and asphalt – until a more permanent fix can be applied once the road is dry.
Potholes will be filled as weather permits.
You can report a pothole by calling the city’s public services department at 616.456.3232, or you can submit a photo and location description of a pothole by using the GRCity 311 mobile app.
