Train derails in Wyoming; no one hurt

A train derailed in Wyoming. (Feb. 24, 2014)

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — A freight train derailed in Wyoming Monday night.

It happened around 7:40 p.m. on Beverly Road south of Beverly Street. The train was just a few feet from its destination.

A CSX official told 24 Hour News 8 Monday night that the weather was likely to blame. He said the tracks were covered in snow and ice.

There were no passengers or cargo on the train’s single car.
