Frozen hydrants hinder firefighters at fire

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) – Firefighters dealt with frozen hydrants as they battled a fire at a house in Kalamazoo.

The fire started around 10 p.m. Wednesday on N. Edwards Street.

A lieutenant with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety told 24 Hour News 8 no one was hurt in the fire.

It took about four hours before the flames were extinguished.

The residence sustained significant damage.

A cause has not been determined yet.
