GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The weather may not exactly be cooperating, but John Ball Zoo is still set to open for the 2014 season on Saturday.
The zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with $5 admission for adults and $4 admission for children.
Bears, snow leopards, mountain lions and others will be in their outdoor habitats, and if you need a chance to warm up, indoor spaces like the aquarium, the chimpanzee exhibit and the Frogs! exhibit will be open.
There will be storytelling and art projects for the kids, as well as penguin feedings to watch.
John Ball Zoo is the fourth-most-attended cultural facility in Michigan, and saw 470,000 visitors in 2013.
More than 250 species and 2,000 animals are housed at the zoo.
