Kirk Cousins speaks to GR students

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Former Michigan State University quarterback and current Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins spoke to some Grand Rapids students Friday morning.

The Holland native was originally supposed to speak at NorthPointe Christian High School on Thursday, but the snowstorm caused him to alter his schedule to the next day.

“Being an NFL player is a platform and I want to be able to use that platform to make a difference, to have an influence, especially on young people,” he told 24 Hour News 8 after the event.
