RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person is dead after colliding with a semi-truck in Montcalm County Saturday morning.
The crash happened around 7:22 a.m. Saturday on M-46 near Vestaburg Road in Richland Township.
Witnesses told police that a Pontiac Grand Am was traveling east on M-46 when the driver lost control on the snow-covered road and collided with a Kenworth semi-truck.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, but police do believe the victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
