GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) This winter has been long and cold, and there’s no better time to warm up with a good laugh. Some of the best comedians in the business are coming to West Michigan to take part in LaughFest. The annual event raises awareness and money for Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids.
It all begins with a free community kick-off on Thursday, March 6, at Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids. LaughFest is going to attempt breaking the world record for most people wearing sunglasses in the dark. Currently Chicago holds the world record with 1,642 people, but come on down to Rosa Parks Circle and help Grand Rapids LuaghFest take the title. Line-up starts at 6 p.m. and the record attempt starts at 7 p.m.
You can win tickets to see two of the big acts, but time is running out! Win tickets to see Mike Birbiglia or Lily Tomlin. The drawing ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 3. Click here to register, and check LaughFest’s website for information on other shows and events!
