GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) If you enjoy the art of cooking or are looking to learn, the Spartan Culinary Classroom is a great place to start! It offers many unique and fun classes for those looking to whip up a dish or learn a new skill. Chef Char Morse from the Spartan Nash Culinary Classroom joins us in studio to demonstrate some of her skills.

Hula Girl Punch

Family-Friendly Punch Bowl Version:


  • 6 cups ice
  • 4 cups pineapple juice
  • 4 cups coconut juice
  • 1 container (33.8 ounces) guava nectar juice
  • 1 bag (16 ounces) frozen strawberries
  • 2 cups club soda 


Add all ingredients in a punch bowl, stir and serve with fun glasses, drink umbrellas and colorful staws.

Over 21 Hula Girl:


  • 10 ounces Hula Girl punch (from above)
  • 2 ounces Malibu Coconut Rum 


Add punch and coconut rum in a blender.  Run blender on high until drink is smooth.  Pour into a cocktail glass and decorate with umbrellas, colorful straws and a strawberry sliced and placed on the lip of the glass for garnish.
