Hockey goes purple to help fight cancer

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The Grand Rapids Griffins and the Van Andel Arena are going purple… all to fight cancer and raise money for the Van Andel Institute. The Grand Rapids Griffins Purple Community Game takes place on Friday, March 7, and will be hosted once again by Maranda. Sara Hop from the Van Andel Institute and Matt Batchelder from the Griffins tells us more about the big game.

The Griffins Purple Community Game is Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena.
