Be Mitten Ready, Flood Preparedness Tips

In the spring of 2013, historic flooding ravaged West Michigan, with the spring on the way, flooding again can be a potential concern.  You should be prepared.

Flood waters can damage anything and everything, so it’s important to protect documents.

• Backup computer files and keep copies of insurance, and financial records

• Save both prescriptions and medical information as hard copies and electronically

• Make sure your emergency kit is stocked.

• Have an emergency plan.

• Prepare and stay informed for emergencies.
