GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Crews worked to put out an apartment fire in Grand Rapids Thursday morning.

The fire started around 4:30 a.m. at a two-unit apartment building in the 1000 block of Bridge Street NW near Lane Avenue. Officials on scene believe three people live inside of that apartment and all of them made it out safely.

A neighbor on scene said she was also evacuated from her home because of the proximity to the fire.

According to officials, the fire started in a bedroom of the apartment, but they still don’t know what caused it.
