Sheriff’s Dept: Woman dies after bull attack

HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) — A farm worker was killed Thursday after being attacked by a bull.

The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Alicia Avalos-Rebolledo, according to the Barry County Sheriff’s Department.

Emergency responders were called to Brogan Road, south of Hastings, just after 2 p.m. to reports of a woman who had been attacked by a bull.

They attempted to save the woman, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The bull has been secured and removed from the area,” the sheriff’s department said in a release.

The death remains under investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled.
