GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) He’s been recognized as one of the nation’s most innovative artists, even painting accomplished pieces for Lady Gaga and Jay Leno. Tony Roko will be at opening night of Lafontsee Galleries’ “Out of the Polar Vortex” exhibit.

The exhibit will feature Roko’s “Fortitude”, a three foot by four foot piece commissioned by Ford Motor Company in honor of the Centennial Celebration of the assembly line. The frame itself is made of repurposed auto parts that are nearly 100 years old.

“Out of the Polar Vortex” opens at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7, and runs through April 11 at Lafontsee Galleries at 833 Lake Dr. SE in Grand Rapids.
