Students compete in government knowledge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) How well do you know the U.S. constitution? How about important questions facing lawmakers or current world events? Dozens of students in East Grand Rapids won the opportunity to compete in Washington D.C. to discuss and debate these very topics, through a program called “We The People“.

Some of the students and their coach tell us more about the competition. They’re hosting a fundraiser for their trip. It’s Friday, March 14 at 7 p.m. Come out for a silent and live auction at The Bluff in Grand Rapids. Tickets are $25. Visit their website for more information.
