BUSHNELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Three people were injured, including one who had to be flown to the hospital, in a two-vehicle wreck on Tuesday morning in southern Montcalm County.
The wreck happened around 7:30 a.m. on M-57 east of Townhall Road in Bushnell Township, just east of Greenville.
Witnesses told Michigan State Police troopers that a vehicle in the westbound lanes of M-57 crossed over the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle.
There were two people in the vehicle that crossed the center line, including the 17-year-old male driver and a 20-year-old male passenger, both of Sumner, Mich., MSP said.
The vehicle that was hit in the eastbound lanes was driven by a 54-year-old woman from the Greenville area, according to MSP.
The 20-year-old man was airlifted by Aero Med to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment, MSP said.
The two drivers were both taken via ambulance to area hospitals.
Information on the conditions of the three was not released.
MSP said that all three were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and neither high speeds nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the wreck.
