Crews remove snow piles from Fifth Third Ballpark

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WOOD) – The West Michigan Whitecaps’ home opener is April 8 against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

But there is quite a bit of snow on the field and inside Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park.

So crews began Tuesday removing the large amount of snow piles.

24 Hour News 8 saw people using shovels and a Bobcat with a snowblower attachment.

On Jan. 3, a fire significantly damaged the facility along the first-base line, during a construction project for the upcoming season.

The rebuilding process continues.
