2 arrested after burglary at Wyoming grocery store

Wyoming Police take a suspect into custody after a break in at a Wyoming grocery store (March 12, 2014).

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Two suspects, accused of breaking in to a Wyoming grocery story, are in custody after police tracked them to a Wyoming residence.

Around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, Wyoming Police were called out to the Supermercado Mexico grocery store on a possible burglary.

A witness told police they saw two men get into the store through a window the men had broken. The suspects exited with some of the store’s merchandise and fled the scene on foot.

Wyoming Police tracked the suspects to a residence in the 1100 block of Rathbone St SW. With some help with the Tactical Arrest and Confrontation Team, Wyoming PD gained enterance into the residence and during a search, found two suspects and took them into custody.

Police say they found evidence of the burglary, including some of the stolen items, at the residence. The suspects were taken to the Kent County Jail on felony charges.
