2 walkers hurt after getting hit by vehicle

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is recovering at a Kalamazoo hospital after he and a woman were struck by a vehicle Tuesday night.

Around 8 p.m. Tuesday, a man and woman were walking in a Battle Creek roadway when they were both struck.

The accident happened in the intersection of E Roosevelt Ave and Garrison Ave in Battle Creek.

Battle Creek Police say the woman was treated and released from a Battle Creek hospital. The man is currently in stable condition at a Kalamazoo hospital.

The names of the walkers has not been released. It is unknown if the driver of the vehicle was hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
