Possible break-in at supermarket

ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Police are investigating a possible break-in at a supermarket in Kent County.

An employee of Plumb’s Valu-Rite Foods, 1025 Four Mile Road in Alpine Township, called police around 5 a.m. Friday after noticing some money on the floor, the back door of the building open and fresh footprints in the snow.

Police found five cash bills that they believe were dropped by the suspect upon leaving the scene.

It is unknown what was stolen.
