West Michigan goes Irish for St. Patrick’s Day

Irish on Ionia 031414

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Michigan’s largest St. Patrick’s Day street party is back for a fourth year, and it’s bigger and better than ever! Irish on Ionia is hosted by McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon. The event has doubled in size and even added a second stage. That means more Irish inspired music, more live entertainment, and more fun!

This year, the festival will stretch from Oakes to Fulton, one block further than the previous three years, and will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Last year, Irish on Ionia served up 280 kegs of green beer to approximately 14,000 party goers. For the 2014 event, McFadden’s expects to sell more than 19,000 tickets, crowning it the largest St. Patrick’s Day street party in the state.

Tickets range from $15 to $55. Check out the Irish on Ionia website for details.
