Bicyclist critically hurt after hit-and-run

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Wyoming police are asking for your help finding the driver whose vehicle hit a bicyclist and then fled the scene Saturday morning.

Around 7:22 a.m., police were called to the 600 block of 36th Street SW, between Clyde Park Avenue and U.S. 131. When they arrived, they determined a bicyclist was involved in a hit-and-run accident.

The 52-year-old male victim was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital and listed in critical condition.

The suspect was traveling west, and police believe the vehicle has a partially damaged passenger-side mirror as a result of the collision.
