Meth lab and weapons found in house

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Numerous charges are pending against a man after a Kalamazoo County home was raided.

Authorities received a tips that methamphetamine was being manufactured at the residence in the 600 block of N. 33rd St. in Comstock Township.

On March 12, deputies conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle leaving the residence, and noticed two people in the vehicle possessing suspected meth. Charges are pending.

Then two days later, officers from the Kalamazoo Metro SWAT Team and Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the home. They noticed an active “one pot” meth lab in the kitchen, several firearms in the living room, a large caliber assault rifle near the front door, components for manufacturing meth, remnants from meth labs, suspected meth and other narcotics in the residence.

Authorities will be requesting at least five charges against the suspect, a 32-year-old from Galesburg, once the case is forwarded to the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office.
