GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) One of the best things you can do for your health is to get a really good night’s sleep. That’s something that’s true for kids as well as adults. But not every child is able to sleep like a baby, so there is help available at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. Dr. John Schuen is Chief of the Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Division at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

The Pediatric Sleep Disorders Center is the only pediatric sleep center in West Michigan and one of only 50 in the United States. The staff there can help diagnose and treat sleep disorders in infants, children, and teens.

They can help you learn what’s normal and what’s not normal when it comes to your child’s sleep. That can include establishing a good bedtime, diagnosing the different kinds of sleep apnea or insomnia.
