LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – A woman was ticketed after police said she caused a two-vehicle wreck in St. Joseph County.

Kennedy Banks, 26, was in his vehicle and stopped on eastbound M-60 near Haines Road outside Three Rivers, waiting for traffic to clear so he could turn left into his driveway.

Jessie Hanstine was also traveling east when her vehicle rear-ended Banks’ vehicle around 2:26 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Both drivers from Three Rivers wore their seat belts, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital.

Hanstine, 20, was cited for failing to stop at an assured, clear distance.

Police said alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
