GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) If March makes you sing the blues, you are not alone. But feeling a little melancholy can be a good thing when you put a decent beat underneath it all. Asamu Johnson has compiled a group of blues artists from around West Michigan and they’re taking their unique sound all around town.
On Saturday, March 22, they will play at Chilly, Blues & Brews at the B.O.B. in downtown Grand Rapids from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, March 29, they have a show at LB’s Lounge at Louis Benton Steakhouse from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On Wednesday, April 2, they will perform at Pietro’s Italian Restaurant. The event is a fundraiser for New Branches Charter Academy, a not-for-profit, public school where more than half their students are on free or reduced lunch.
